A practical, comfortable, contoured and flexible modular seating system, designed along side therapists and carers for older children with mild to complex needs. The Multiseat has practical packages available along with polyurethane support surfaces impregnated with an antimicrobial agent.

Multiseat – Seating system

The Multiseat seating system is one of the most versatile on the market. The contoured seat unit with memory foam insert provides unparalleled comfort and, when combined with the optional ischial bar and four point lap strap, a strong base for pelvic stability and symmetry. The two piece back with independent lumbar support provides support to ensure a posturally correct and supported seating position.

The Multiseat is a completely modular seating system, enabling the two sizes of back and seat units to be mixed and matched if required. Which when combined with the wide variety of head, trunk, leg and foot support options means it can be configured exactly to the specific needs of the individual user, however complex or mild they are. All of this plus the adjustable back angle, tilt-in-space and choice of coloured covers means the Multiseat really does combine maximum functionality, flexibility, style and value!

Features:

Back Angle Adjustment

From 25 degrees recline through to 10 degrees prone, this feature can help create the required hip angle for the optimum seating position for each user

Adjustable Seat Depth

To ensure the fit is exactly right for each user, the seat depth is fully adjustable from 285mm on the size 4 to 520mm on the size 5

Leg Control Pads

The unique leg control pads can be used to create abduction, adduction or to control windsweeping. Plus they flip out of the way completely for smooth and easy transfers

PU Support Pads

Available in a range of sizes with easy, flip away action for trunk, hip and leg support and all pads are made from PU which is not only flexible, but easy to clean and impervious to fluids making them hygienic and robust

Adjustable Back Height

From 465mm on the size 4 up to 660mm on the size 5, the Multiseat range can grow with your child

Outstanding Pelvic Control System

The standard components of contoured seat, memory foam seat pad, independently adjustable lumbar/sacral support, 4 point lap strap and hip pads provide optimal pelvic control

Open Design

Oval Head Support

Simple head rest for children who require minimal head support. Comes mounted on a flexible fixing bracket giving adjustment for height, depth and angle.

Multigrip™ Headrest

The original and innovative Jenx Multigrip™ headrest is now available in 3 sizes. All 3 sizes have a choice of various highly flexible fixing brackets, which can be adjusted for height, depth and angle.

Shoulder Protractors

Used to encourage arms into midline and prevent excessive retraction. Completely flip away when not required. Independently adjustable for height, width and angle.

Tray

A useful surface for work, feeding or play. Made from antibacterial plastic providing a hygienic and easy to clean surface. Contrasting tray edging gives a definitive boundary useful for users with visual impairments. Plus enables toys or other items to be securely fastened in place. Available in two sizes.

Elbow Blocks for Tray

Used to encourage arms into a midline position and/or to block excessive retraction.

Tray Infill

Designed to work with the standard Multiseat Size 4 Tray , the surface is suitable for use with suction toys, anchors or grab bars.

Full and Half Tray Padding

Extra cushioning for the tray top. Attaches with velcro and covered in wipe-clean PU fabric.

Slim Thoracics

These are made from flexible and hygienic PU. Single handed squeeze button flip away action on all supports for easy transfers. Independently adjustable for height and width. Can be offset to brace a scoliosis or accommodate other skeletal deformities. Optional matching covers also available.

Thoracic Supports with Strap

These flexible PU pads act as a wrap around support with adjustable chest strap. Single handed squeeze button flip away action on all supports for easy transfers. Independently adjustable for height and width. Can be offset to brace a scoliosis or accommodate other skeletal deformities.

Zip Waistcoat Harness

Provides additional positioning support to children. Attach, detach and flip away in seconds with a single hand – no tools required. Must be used with the lap strap

Seat Pad

Made from pressure relieving foam covered in waterproof, breathable PU fabric.

Ischial Bar

An effective positioning aid for children with a strong tendency towards sacral sitting. Position beneath the memory foam seat pad infront of the ischial tuberosities.

Arm Rests

The arm rests are independently adjustable for height and angle. Clear markings make it esy to set the armrests at the correct height. Padded armrest covers are also available. Arm rest mounting brackets are required for attaching to the Multiseat.

Hip Supports

These supports provide positioning support to help achieve optimum pelvic stability. Adjustable for width and angle with a simple push-button flip-away action for easy transfers.

Abduction Pad

Used as a prompt to enhance the inherent contoured seat design of the seat unit. Made from hygienic PU.

Abduction Blocks

Available in 2 sizes providing different levels of abducted seating.

Leg Control Pads

Unique leg control pads allow you to control leg position independently of pelvic position, creating abduction or adduction or controlling windsweeping. Flip completely out of the way to facilitate smooth and easy transfers. Sold in pairs NB: Need to be attached and used with leg control brackets.

Footplate

Provides support for feet with easy fit slots making attaching sandals and other foot support options a breeze. Easily flips away and is held in place by a magnet in the footpost.

Footplate Pad

Attach to the footplate to give a softer surface for children who don't need or can't tolerate more structured foot positioning.

Box Style Footplate

Useful for those children who cannot handle having their feet in a fixed position. Provides a level of control whilst still allowing freedom of movement.

Sandals

Jenx sandals are interchangeable across the entire range of Jenx seating and standing products. Available in 4 different sizes.

Sandal Raising Blocks

The raising block kits give the sandals that extra bit of height where needed! Use 1 set to accommodate for leg length discrepancy or use 2 sets to raise the height of the footplate on any product to maximise the available growth. Sandal raising blocks come in sets of 4, each is 15mm (0.7") thick giving a maximum raise from one set of blocks to 60mm (2.7").

Covers

Removable washable covers for arm rests, leg control pads and thoracics. Available in Blue, Red, Pink, Lime Green or Neutral. A wipe-clean PU hygiene cover for the seat is also available in black.
